My name is Denise Castle and I am the current WIBA Professional World
Boxing Champion and former WBC Muaythai World Champion from the
south coast town of Bournemouth in the UK.
I entered the world of Professional Boxing as a Mandatory Challanger for the WBC World Title belt following a world dominating career in Muaythai Boxing where I fought worldwide from Asia through Eurpoe and onto the USA capturing the WBC, S1 and Arabian World Title Belts along the way with numerous International and National titles as well.
I was known for my unique power and strength and had stopped many opponets with my boxing – this brought me to the attention of the WBC President and my entrance to Boxing was sealed.
I made an explosive start to my boxing career capturing the the WIBA World Title in Bangkok, on October 26, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand, where I stopped Suthinee Bamrungpao in 1:15 seconds of the fifth round to become the UK’s first ever Female Atomweight World Boxing Champion.
My previous boxing fights were just as memorable with a double knockout winning entrance to the Pro Boxing ranks making me 2 and 0 - I was made mandatory contender for the WBC World Boxing Title Belt which meant a face off against 12 x champion Momo Koseki on her home soil of Tokyo.
The fight was a real slugfest in Tokyo with us both going toe-to-toe, round after round and giving the fans a real battle to enjoy and remember.
Following this fight I had my 3rd child, a beautiful healthy girl which meant no sparring and moderated training – but I love my family and we all support each other so as soon as was practible the gloves went back on and I was throwing those bombs again.
I may not have sparred for a year but training smart had actually heightened my reactions and power and only 2 years after giving birth I fought again for the WBC World Title Vs Fabiana Bytqui in her home town of Usi Dem Laden in the Czech Republic.
This fight was another 10 round of pure world class boxing with a fast hard hitting pace until the final bell and I was proud that the WBC voted it Female Professional Boxing Fight of 2018.
Every sport that I have excelled in is down to hard work – the training has Always been harder than the competition – no exceptions.
I live by the rule – Everything in Moderation – and this can not be more important in life. I work in the PE department of my local Girls Grammar School, am a married mother fo 3 and yet have still succeeded to world
dominance in Professional Boxing.
I am always asked how I manage to fit in time for everything and I believe
its just down to dedication and planning.
My dream is to show the UK what I have shown the rest of the world with my Boxing and Muaythai. At 102lbs my weight category is light but believe me its fast and furious!
With the recent rise of Female Boxing I am excited to be involved and show my home country exactly what this mother can do!
